Educational Research Unit 3: Step 3 - Analyzing and Interpreting the Data
School dropout
Analysis and interpretation:
The findings are those that
were made since the beginning of the investigation, but in itself we did not
consider that the levels in each of the items were so high. The causes of
desertion are multiple, but the one with the highest percentage of evidence is
child labor because it is a rural population where families are engaged in farm
work and pay little attention to children studying because most of their
parents only he has studied primary school.
it is followed by the
quality of education with very distant schools, old, deteriorated, with few
tools which makes teaching difficult for teachers, finally and in smaller cases
we find intrafamily violence, displacement, bullyng and pregnancy in
adolescents , these findings do not mean that they are less important, on the
contrary, they are a warning signal to the civil authorities so that they can
mediate in these problems and protect the minors because the survey shows that
the rights of children are in constant violation. but nobody dares to denounce,
out of fear, for not getting into trouble, or because they simply do not care.
Of every ten children
surveyed, two report physical and verbal abuse by a member of the community,
and one percent declares that they fear being a victim of sexual abuse.
The problem is worrisome,
violence, displacement, family economy, level of education, quality, Bullyng
are factors that touch bottom in this community, which put to rethink the work
of each of the actors that have to do with education to seek include not only
the children but the community in general, so that they realize the problem and
together they seek a better solution to the problem in order to defend the
rights and safeguard the integrity of our children.
ANALYZING DATA
Results are worrisome and as
teachers seeks to rethink the exercise of teaching and as parents to be part of
the educational process, we see that children are not affected by their own
decisions, developed with a population plunged in poverty, because dreams stay
on the road forever.
The exercise of collecting
everything was not bad, we found in the population people who want to help
solve the problem; teachers and parents want their children, students, have
more opportunities, are more comprehensive, so we find parents who support
their children to study and teaching teachers, motivators who persuade their
students with their significant methodologies, quasando permanence in schools
and having the possibility of reducing the gap between desertion and permanence
in school
Conclusions:
These practice exercises in
the field are very good, because sometimes we are immersed in a problematic and
we have the solution, but we are not able to structure it, with the data
collection allowed us to see the most important and other less influential but
that in itself please the situation of school desertion, to study possible
solutions in the company of students, teachers, parents, community and civic
authorities, since the objective is to protect and guarantee the rights of
children, since they are the most violated in this region.
